Socks are almost as bad as bare feet because socks are manly. What sort of woman wears the same clothes as men? There is a word for such women and I dare not say it here.

I see people using Facebook to pin their travels on a map. This is bragging disguised as being interesting. Taijiquan requires more of you than this.

Taijiquan teaches maleness and femaleness - with each gender finding balance according to it's own nature.

I found this image on another blog. It inspires me because it captures the essence of femaleness. The model's outfit is so simple and endearing. The image is romantic, soft and sensual but not sexual. There is an impression of vulnerability, confidence and strength. I like to dress like this when home because it offers tremendous freedom and femininity.

Example of mutual ego stroking:
"Where did you go on holiday?"
      "Bali."
"Oh, I went there with my boyfriend last year. We have been 3 times already. This year we are going to Sydney..."

Femaleness is all about being true to my gender and not acting or looking like a man.

Talk straight. Don't make as if people have to fish information from you. This is phoney and fake. If you have something to say, say it.

Drag queens make more effort to look feminine than many women.

Bragging in any form is not Taijiquan.

Taijiquan encourages people to be honest and when talking, be sincere.

I see Western ladies do Taijiquan with bare feet or socks. Ugh! How ugly. Like a man.

Taijiquan can significantly boost sex drive. People like to use words such as virility or vitality but they're talking about S E X.

This is why Asian women wear pantyhose:

Taijiquan and menopause:

I like to watch runners alongside the road because they remind me why Taijiquan is superior. In ancient times Qigong was practiced as was Gong-fu and these two arts led to Taijiquan. These arts have a history of good practice and the health benefits are widely known. Running was created by Forrest Gump. OK, I joke but you see the recent nature of running. Where's it's history?

Taijiquan is not mystical. It's simple and direct and without ornamentation. Try telling that to 99% of the people training Taijiquan!

“There is no mystique to Tai Chi Chuan. What is difficult is the perseverance. It took me ten years to discover my chi, but thirty years to learn how to use it. Once you see the benefit, you won’t want to stop.”

- Ma Yueh Liang

Beware of the sly show off. They play the modest game and pretend to be so reluctant to tell, yet their pride wins out.

Women-only Taijiquan is fine if you are learning how to dance. To learn martial art you need men to fight against.

I'm a driven young career woman. But what drives me? The disturbing truth is sexual frustration. My female Taijiquan Teacher helped us all to recognise the sad truth.

We are taught to ignore what motivates us. Taijiquan will not let you run from the truth.

Is a class good for women? This is a good question. I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

I encounter many wound-up women in my job. In Taijiquan we would say that they are not in touch with their sexual energies. It has become stagnant and blocked. These people cannot see it and you cannot tell them of this for they will not listen.

How to be feminine:

Taijiquan teaches that we are made up of energies: Qi, emotion, electrical and sexual. The latter is typically ignored but is often the deciding factor.

Real women must come off the pedestal. Men put us up there to get us out of the way.

Modern living makes us forget ourselves.

To learn Taijiquan as martial art you need real Master who can Shuai-Jiao, Chin-Na and understands Fa-Jing.

My ego tells me that I'm in touch with all my energies and won't permit anyone to tell me that I'm sexually out of touch or emotionally unaware. Taijiquan brings us closer to some very uncomfortable personal truths.

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

I had lunch with my colleague and the first thing she did was tell me how little sex she has since getting married. She was very tense.

Many Taijiquan Teachers can't use the Form in combat. What are they training then? This is what I ask? And better yet: what are they teaching me?

Anais Nin is truly in touch with her sexuality. Even in her mature yaers she is never seen without stockings or pantyhose.

Anais Nin - An Inspiration To All Women

Are Asian women obsessed with wearing pantyhose? This is a good question and I can see why people might wonder. We are responsible for 80% of all purchases. The answer is quite simple really: it's cultural. There is a saying known to all Asian women: "Only a monkey shows it's feet"... This means that bare feet are not feminine; they are coarse.

Taijiquan is soft but this doesn't mean weak.

People have accepted being stressed as normal. Rather than stop, relax, take time off or have sex, they soldier on.

Neigong and Qigong are not the same but a great Teacher can blend the two to become one.

I didn't even know that we had sexual energy. Now, I 'm learning to attune to it. I see signs of stagnancy all around.

Taijiquan takes our hand and gently reminds us who we are.

Am I in touch with myself or am I just a worker bee?

It is not uncommon to hear people call Taijiquan a hard/soft art. This is not really true and is attempt to appeal to people who deride the Taijiquan for being soft.

I don't own a single pair of socks. No Chinese girl of any self respect wears socks. When I do Gongfu I wear black pantyhose beneath uniform. They are visible and I know that men can see. Then they know: I am a confident woman and I also have final say.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow but the rainbow won't wait while you do the work.

by Joan O'Hara

Taijiquan is powered by Qi but how can your prove this?

Your hands tingle. Is this Qi?

Being female has become a conscious decision in our modern age. Apart from the biological obviousness of our bodies we have to really work at being feminine or slowly slump into androgeny and psuedo-manhood.

Only A Monkey Has Bare Feet

Asian women find it easier to be feminine I think because we're small and hard to confuse with men.

“As long as one has three square feet of space, one can take a trip to paradise and stay there to enjoy life for thirty minutes without spending a single cent.”

- Master T.T. Liang ”Tai Chi Chuan for Health and Self Defense”

“Every tree and plant in the meadow seemed to be dancing, those which average eyes would see as fixed and still.”
